There were trainings for wooden heritage craftsmen in Open air museum of Lithuania

On 21st -26th September 2015 the trainings for wooden heritage craftsmen were organized in Open Air Museum of Lithuania. Trainings were organized as the activity of the running project „Restoration and revitalization of two farmsteads in ethnographic village of Salos“ (No. EEE-LT06-KM-01-K-01-099), which is supported by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism, the Republic of Lithuania and the Open Air Museum of Lithuania.

The action in Salos village have begun

In November 2015 the contract of 6 buildings restoration with building company „Lakaja“were signed. A larger homestead, which consists of 5 buildings - a cottage, barn with stables, barn, the other barn and sauna will be preserved with authentic architecture and interior. The smaller homestead will be restored based on the best examples of old buildings restoration and good practice of Norwegian craftsmen.
